Quran ki Zuban (qurankizuban.com) is a free, static educational website. We take your privacy seriously. This page explains what data is collected, by whom, and how.

1. What We Collect

We do not collect, store, or process any personal data directly. There is no account system, no login, no contact form, and no server of our own that handles your data.

Your lesson progress and dark mode preference are stored only in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

2. Analytics — Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic, anonymous traffic measurement. This service:

Does not use cookies or set any tracking identifiers.
Does not fingerprint individual users.
Reports only aggregate statistics (page views, country, device type).
Does not sell or share data with advertisers.

3. Quranic Audio — EveryAyah.com

When you tap the 🔊 speaker button on a Quranic ayah, your browser makes a direct network request to everyayah.com to stream the audio file. No audio is stored in our repository or served from our servers.

The audio files are recitations by Sheikh Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy, served from EveryAyah.com's public CDN at:

https://everyayah.com/data/Alafasy_128kbps/SSSAAA.mp3

When this request is made, EveryAyah.com's servers will receive your IP address and standard browser request headers (as with any CDN resource). We have no control over how EveryAyah.com handles this data. Please review EveryAyah.com directly for their terms and privacy practices.

Vocabulary and non-ayah Arabic text use your browser's built-in Web Speech API — this runs entirely on your device and makes no external network requests.

4. CDN & Hosting — Cloudflare and GitHub Pages

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and served via Cloudflare's CDN. When you visit any page, Cloudflare processes your request. Standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, URL) may be retained by Cloudflare per their data retention policy. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy and GitHub's Privacy Statement.

5. Cookies

We do not set any cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is specifically configured to operate without cookies. The cookie notice bar on this site is shown for transparency only.

6. Children's Privacy

This site is designed as an educational resource suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
